A:AnswerI use mine on both a 2014 & a mid 2012 MacBook Pro & it works fine. Those cover both Thunderbolt 1 & Thunderbolt 2. Perhaps you got a faulty cable?
A:AnswerI didn't need an adapter to connect from my 2013 MacBook Air to a HP external display ...it worked straight away. It is possible that your Mac is driving your display at a setting higher than it's capable of, so you might want to see if you can start with lower settings and see if that helps.
A:AnswerMini display port and thunderbolt (apple) ports have the same physical size etc so yes it will work w a Mac. The difference is Thunderbolt ports also allow for power and the ability to daisy chain addl thunderbolt devices off one port. It can be used for monitor(s), storage devices etc. The reality is thunderbolt equipped devices are rare and now a day most thins are moving to USB C including Apple.
A:AnswerWell, its got the right ports in the right places, you're just going to have to try it out. BBY will accept a return if it doesn't work, i'm sure. It should work though,.
A:AnswerI don’t think so, the connection is a one way, which means you can connect your Mac to a tv but not a tv to your Mac, so vice versa for your Xbox.
