“How strong is this shredder? Would it be strong enough to shred small scraps of plastic? I'm looking for a paper shredder for shredding PLA for the use of melting it down to make filament.”

It can do credit cards but no way it could do plastic that thick the size of an 8x10. It could do thinner plastic in sheets that large.
