• Yes, you can use your apple usb cube to charge your charger via ac outlet. That's what I did.

• I have used a number of Micro-USB (home & car) chargers to re-energize this portable charger it doesn't "have to" be plugged into a computer's USB in order for it to charge.....

• I've used an iPhone, Samsung, and Beats head phones USB cube to charge it. It should charge with anything.
