    • Answer I do not think this, nor any standard extension cord is shielded. That would be a specialty item at a much higher price point. Though I’m pretty confident the 3 conductors are twisted. That helps make it a round (vs. your standard flat extension) cable plus twisting conductors will minimize (self cancel) EMF if that is your concern.

    • Answer Most microwaves are ~ 1500 Watt load. But to be sure you need to see what your specific microwave power draw is. Check specs in its manual or on labels stuck on it somewhere.. (back or bottom typical). This power cord is rated for 1625 Watts. So typical a 1500 watt is covered.
