I am sure if the factory size is 90mm then it would need the same size back unless the grill opening has sizes spaced out for the 80mm or 120mm as in bolt holes,
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My computer had the 90mm fan and I was able use the 80mm fan with no problem. There were 2 sets of holes in the fan mount in my computer case.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Try looking up the case specs online using a model number. Most will give you the info your looking for. Like my case fits either 2 120mm fans up top or 2 140mm fans. If it for some reason your case fits one size and want to go to a larger size fan you can always do some minor modification and drill a couple holes for mounting options. Just make sure your gonna be able to fit a larger size in the place you want to put it before hand and that you are able to connect and power it. Goes without saying but always make sure to unplug and purge any excess power from the system before working on it and clean out any meteal shavings from the system afterwards before powering it back up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would go with the 80 fan, it will work with the plug in and it will fit in your case, the air flow will be the same, if you go with the 120, it might not fit.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The 80mm it will work fine
