I does switch to keep warm after the pressure cook time has completed. I cannot compare to crock pot because I do not use it that way. But, several groups I’m in say that the crockpot heats from the sides. The instant pot heats from the bottom. They have not had comparable results using the instant pot as a crockpot.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I haven't used this as a slow cooker but it does automatically switch to keep warm when pressure cooking is over.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Excellent questions, this will cook a 10 hour pot roast in 1 hour, the flavor and tenderness are the exact same as a slow cooker, sounds hard to believe but its true, 12 hour chili in 40 minutes. There are timers to set the food to start cooking when you want and yes the pot goes into warm mode after cooking until its shut off.
