It is better to put it facing the TV tower without anything blocking it. Avoid metal/concrete objects that could block the signals; plastic or wooden things might weaken signals somehow by their thickness. David M. - Insignia Support

The ground floor is mounted behind my entertainment center which is near a window, no issues with reception. The basement placement has to be next to the window, or it will not receive the signal when it rains. Depending on the attic configuration it may work.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I put it in our upstairs window facing west where the towers are and it was way easier then the attic. I think the attic would cut down on clear reception of some of your channels
