“I have cable internet without TV using Fire stick but dont have local channels and miss a lot. If I use the Insignia antenna will connecting it to the same cable that the internet uses to get to my modem cause a problem?”

NO. The firestick plugs into an HDMI port and andtennas ALWAYS connect to coax on the back of the TV. You'll have to use the "input" or "source" selector on your remote to choose where the TV is going to get signal.
