You put the band around your wrist and the alligator clip you place somewhere on the metal case of the computer. It is used to discharge static electricity when touching small computer parts or chips, as small amounts of electricity can be detrimental to computer component.

The Velcro strap is placed on your wrist with the button connection facing the underside of your wrist. The wire with the alligator clip is connected to the button connection and the alligator clip is connected to your case or power supply( the power supply should not be plugged in.) so that it makes a good connection. This ensures your electronics do not get fried by static electricity.

Basically put it on your wrist, snapnin the cord and attach the alligator clip to the metal surface you are working on or a connection that is grounded

Strap it to your dominant wrist and attach the clip to the board or case. (As long as it’s metal) It creates a bond between you and your work.

Place it on your arm and clip it to a grounded metal source so that the static electricity can be discharged to the grounded source rather than the sensitive electronic components.

You use the strap to ground yourself to the frame of case while working inside so you don't discharge static electricity onto any of the components & ruin them.

You connect the two parts using the snap clip. Use the velcro strap to wrap snuggly around your wrist. Then use the spring clamp to hook onto the computer case. This results in your body being grounded to the computer case so you can work on the internal computer parts without frying anything due to static electricity.

Attach to your wrist then attach to the rig somewhere so you are grounded to the unit so there is no static.

I installed 2 graphics cards (in different pc's) for people safely so as not to damage the cards. When installing a graphics card or ram in a pc you can shorten the life of those components with static electricity, and though it has never happened to me I understand at times destroy them with static electricity.

Ground yourself to the metal on your computer to protect the system from static while working on it

Secure the Velcro strap around your wrist and secure the clip to a piece of metal on your case.
