ik im 8 years too late but 2.0 is actually kinda better for a Bluetooth adapter

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Bluetooth is a low power and data speed spec that I think it should be fine connecting it to a USB 2.0 port. Any extra power or speed provided by a USB 3.0 port would not benefit a Bluetooth adapter. I'm not sure about the Xbox part of the question since I do not have one but as long as the adapter is the Bluetooth version or above what the controller needs it should work just fine. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Not sure but I don't think it matters since USB devices are still backwards compatible between two and three. It is the drivers for the device you want to link by BT that is the critical issue, the BT dongle just gets them ready to talk to each other.
