No, the usb port on your printer is more than likely for data (Such as printing word documents or pictures direct from a media device. Ex: flash drive). If you want to print from your macbook, you'd have to see if your printer is wireless. If it is, i'd recommend going to the official hp website and downloading the correct drivers to your macbook, keep in mind wireless printing is done through wifi, so it'll need to be connected to the network. hope this helps, -Tim p.

This adapter plugs into a PC so that you could print to a printer that is already Bluetooth capable. For example I use it to connect my bluetooth headphones to my PC but it won’t make your printer Bluetooth capable.
