Here is the path I would go, you have a couple of choices, you could 1, bring your laptop into a Best Buy store and connect to either store wifi or bring the laptop to the Geek Squad bench and they will connect to the internet and then the drivers that are required will be installed. I have used that approach before on my tower where I did not have wifi and did just that and this USB dongle works well with no wifi
