• Hello, just tried and yes, it plays with equipped volume control. Great machine. Just buy cheap Force Scale Gauge to calibrate the stylus force- in the manual it adjusts without calibration

• Yes, I used my Audio-Technica ATH-M50X with the turntable and they sound great. I haven't tried it yet, but I have a FiiO A3 headphone DAC that I planned to try and see how much it changes. But again, yes, headphones work with this straight out of the box.
