“I have owned my portable Insigna CD/radio for years. Instead of a metal antenna, it came with this long black wire that connects in the back. I have never known how to use it. But reception is often poor. How do I use that wire??”

The only way I can improve FM reception using this wire is to stand in front of the Boombox and hold it in the air. I have tried laying it towards the back, towards the left, wrapping it around the handle. It only works if I am holding it straight up in the air. Won't buy another one of these.
