“My new unit seems to have suffered a small power surge. It turns on and off but is stuck on cassette mode, CAS is on the display. Will not go to cd or radio when I press the mode button. Can this be repaired or should I throw it away?”

• I would take it in to have The Geek Squad check it out. Hopefully, you have a warranty on it, then if need be, they will simply replace it

• Replace is probably cheaper than repair. Add surge protector too.
