• You can skip forward or back to the next or previous track by pushing the standard button (double arrow against a bar). There is also a repeat button which cycles from no repeat to single track repeat to entire CD repeat. The buttons are a bit small, the symbols a bit small, so an elderly person would have to be shown what the buttons mean. But, the short answer is yes.
