The sound quality is sufficient and will do its vibrational job until I can afford the turntable system I truly desire . It is super lightweight which means easy transport around the home, and can be charged at outlet or via battery. There is no digital clock display however. Though I personally hadn't been looking for that feature, so there my be a tiny chance that there is a setting for clock display in the manual, but I never thought to access it, and therefore didn't read the manual. (Fortunately, I am just tech savvy enough to figure out this basic boombox without guidance. ;) ) I will also say that if you have rambunctious pets or children, this is a great way to integrate music into your life (and their lives) daily without anticipating a freak out if you instead have a much more expensive stereo system that then suffers damage from one of your beloved small family members :)
