Does this radio work in an apartment setting? It seems like everything I buy, I cannot get reception inside of an apartment (I live on the main level on a one story apartment building).

you may have to add a wire to the antenna

I have always just played CDs on my player, but I just checked the radio reception. The FM stations are quite fabulous !!!! (Button : Source ) It has digital tuning, not a dial. I found that even with the external antenna up, the AM digital stations do not come in well. [AM on another small radio-single CD disc player works in my apt., but the antenna is in the wire of the external speakers but does not have AM reception with a different pair of external small speakers. ] An extra setting is P-01=P 10 on this new player, and I have not researched what adjustment that could make. I can promise that the FM stations are just fine in my apartment and CDs are fabulous as well. The sound is clear and loud. I love it. If you want music or FM radio, this item is a wonderful addition to any room. (It is also lightweight and portable, notice the size in inches and weight; just add batteries.)
