“Does it work if the charging port on the 3DS is broken?”

• As long as the gold plated pieces on the sides of the port on system are still in tact, it should still charge.

• Yes, there should be some “Gold” plates at the top of the DS and it should connect from there.

• Mostly likely, since it doesn't use the port itself, but the contacts on the back of the 3DS

• It should. It has 2 small metal pieces that plug into the 3DS. It does not appear t9 need the normal port
