• It will not, the hinge for the top screen would prevent it from being able to charge. And even then, it might not charge it either way.

• At least the cable will. Not sure about the dock. Dock did not work with dsxl

• I'm not sure if the system has copper contacts on each side of the charging port, but if it does it should work just fine as the system uses the same charging cord as the 3DS line. The contacts were a new featured introduced with the NEW 3DS XL and the 2DS XL is basically a NEW 3DS XL without the 3D.

• No, the charging ports are different. Attached is the charging port picture for the 3ds XL- it would need to have the pads on it in order to charge using this adapter.
