“how come one of my two remote battery panels doesn't work? If i plug one of my two wii remote battery packs all the way into the back of the wii remote until I hear the "click," the remote battery pack will not work. However, if I leave the battery pack slightly open on the back of the remote where you do not hear the "click,' the remote battery pack works just fine. Do I need a new battery pack or can a I make a modification to this one?”

My experience with this issue come in with a damaged wiimote. it would do a similar thing because the contacts wouldn't properly touch the battery pack contacts. If you have another wiimote try it in that and see if you get the same issue.
