“Do the compartments stay in place or are they adjustable?”

• I haven’t had any problems with it so far and no the compartment are not adjustable.

• The dividers fold up and down, but you cannot otherwise adjust their location, if that's what you mean.

• There are two sections to put items, I used small plastic containers for smaller items.
