Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes but newer TVs probably won't need it as they may already have a digital tuner built in so will just need an antenna.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes it works on a variety of equipment. Designed for use with most analog TVs and recording devices, this Insignia™ NSDXA2 box converts digital broadcast signals into analog signals, so you can enjoy a variety of programming. The remote simplifies operation. Compatible with most analog TVs and recording devices: For use with your existing home entertainment equipment. Supports H.264 format.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't think you need this on a new TV. A new TV already has a correct input for the source signal, so you wouldn't need to buy this converter box.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You do not need this device on an "older" TV since they have the "analog tuner" technology built in. You will only need a indoor or outdoor antenna (outdoors are typically installed in the attic). Indoor antenna's are all that is necessary with new technology like the Mohu brand "LEAF" antenna and I HIGHLY recommend to spend the extra $30 or so dollars on the "amplified" version since this antenna will last for years. If you go cheap without the amplified version, you make experience poor reception and it is simply not worth going cheap on this. Many TV brands are eliminating the analog tuners in their new 4k (Ultra HD) TV's so this device would be REQUIRED plus an indoor "amplified" antenna to pick up over the air broadcasts such as your local news, etc. Search the internet for something like: "Over the air stations in Tampa, Florida" to find a list of your local stations you can pick up with an antenna. Be aware, OVER the AIR broadcasts will NOT pick up ANY cable/satellite channels. As old as over the air technology is, it is advantages to have this option if your cable or satellite goes out plus many of the local television stations are broadcasting in HD now.
