“Does this item have an on timer? Does this item have a timer that can schedule it to turn on so an analog vcr can record while Im not there? I have a Digital Stream DTX9900 from RS, the place with the red "R" logo (2008), a Zenith DTT901 from CC, the place that is now out of business (2008), and an RCA DTA800B1 from W**mart (2009). All of these units are older and do not have a timer, so I was hoping a newer model from 2013 like this one might have this feature. Thanx”

No, you would just have to leave the converter box turned on and tuned to the channel you want to record. (Make sure that the energy conservation setting in the settings menu is set to NOT automatically turn the converter off) If the converter box is still on, then when your VCR automatically starts up, you should be in business.
