Hello, Thank you very much for your interest in our Converter Box. I saw your question about the capability of this converter box to record and I wanted to let you know that the main function of this box is to convert analog signals into digital signals for your TV to be able to display all your local channels but it does not record the content in it; to record any content besides this Converter Box you need a Digital Video Recorder (DVR) which you can find at your local Best Buy store. Arely R. - Insignia Support
