• An update to my previous answer: This tuner will work on new HD televisions but only puts out 480i resolution. That's a shame. I'm looking for one that will do 1080i.

• If the Samsung TV has analog RCA inputs for audio and video, it should work just fine.

• Yes you can just got to your source button and select HDMI 1

• Yes you can. This box may even give you more channels. most older built in TV tuners only go to 68 channels. This one goes to 80 something.
