• No, as long as you buy the standard Switch it comes with a dock for hooking up to tv. These additional docks are for people that want to move their Switch to a different room and play on a different tv. Do not buy the Switch Lite though if you want to hook up to tv as that is a handheld only.

• The switch comes with a dock but if you don't want to move it beak and forth you'll need another. This will work for that.
