Customers are saying
Customers commend the Dock Kit for its affordability, portability, and functionality. They appreciate having an extra dock, especially for travel, and find it easy to use. However, some users have concerns about the limited number of USB ports, occasional charging issues, and potential overheating, which are common with third-party docks.

Works great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works exactly like the OEM Switch Dock! I use this all the time with no issues. It doesn't overcharge your Switch, so you don't have to worry about damage. I've had a few friends over and they've used it too with no issues. It only has one USB port, but you can use a hub or a splitter if you need more.

Better than stock
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Better built than the OEM part. Easier to dock with less chance of scratching the screen. Bought it to use in the living room and never take it to the other dock. Comes with everything you need, for half the price of an extra OEM dock.

An awesome spare product to have!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can finally have easy access to my switch system in the living room. When guests come over I can move my switch system from dock to dock with ease. Happy I can play Just Dance in a larger room. It’s working without any flaws. I might buy another one for the spare bedroom!

Perfect device for second TV with HDMI.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product allows us to switch the Switch between 2 rooms. To play in the kids room and the living room for everyone the play. And because of the design, the screen will not be scratched. There is no plastic covering the front screen.

Compact dock works well for travel
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Significantly smaller than the original dock, but only has one USB port, which is the only problem I have with this dock. It has a great matte finish, and strong build. I feel like dropping this would hurt the floor more than it would hurt the dock. It's a great kit if you move your dock often and travel with it. You get an AC adapter with the dock, while the Nintendo dock itself is far more expensive, and the official Nintendo adapter itself is nearly the price of this kit. -Goes in a little stiff, I'm used to giving it a slight push when I slide it in the original dock, but since it doesn't have walls to hold it in, I'm guessing it's just stiff to keep it properly in place. -Dock has a nice weight to it, and the rubber feet are quite stiff, giving it good friction if you happen to pull it by the moving cables or whatnot. -Dock does not have a TV/tabletop mode, so when you dock your Switch it will always try to go into TV mode, even if no HDMI cable is attached. -Have not checked if it runs hot, but with less covering the Switch should allow it to cool more efficiently.

Great for Travel and Second Charging Station
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this dock mainly when traveling with the Switch (I do this a lot) because I really hate disconnecting the Nintendo dock then having to redo/reconnect all parts and you don't risk losing or damaging the Nintendo dock. I love the Insignia dock for four reasons: 1) smaller than the original dock which leads to point 2) more portable and travel friendly, 3) it doesn't break the bank and 4) it works and feels like great quality. When I'm not using it during travel it is a second charging station which is extremely convenient for me since. Definitely recommending adding this to your arsenal if you're going to be traveling or want to have a second charging station or even attach it to a second TV in the home.

Q: QuestionDo I need to take my switch dock apart and put it I here to make it work?
Asked by BlueStalch.
- A:Answer This is a complete dock and comes with all the cables you need to play with. No need to take anything off your original Nintendo switch dock.

Q: QuestionDoes this dock allow you to have a case attached...like the Mumba rubberized case?
Asked by Tentonhammer.
- A:Answer The dock is a very tight fit for the Switch on its own. There's definitely no way that it can fit the Switch while it has a case on it.

Q: QuestionDoes this device let you play in table top mode if you unplug the hdmi cable but still charge the Switch and play at the sametime?
Asked by Need2Know.
- A:Answer So I bought this because I wanted a spare dock that would work in tabletop mode and I could play while it was charging. It turns out that it works great as a spare dock to travel with, but it will NOT work in tabletop mode. Meaning that if you have it docked without the HDMI, it will still think you’re connect to an actual dock and the Switch screen will go dark. It’s unfortunate because THIS was the main reason I got it. Don’t believe the people that write on here that it works in tabletop mode because it doesn’t. TLDR: It basically works exactly the OEM dock, just cheaper in price. No tabletop mode compatible.

Q: QuestionIs there a light that shows the battery condition as it charges or when it's done ?.........I see a light, but I can't tell what it shows......Thanks !
Asked by SouthernMan.
- A:Answer It only shows when the switch is docked. It didn't indicate charge level or if it's done or even if it's turned on unfortunately.
