So I bought this because I wanted a spare dock that would work in tabletop mode and I could play while it was charging. It turns out that it works great as a spare dock to travel with, but it will NOT work in tabletop mode. Meaning that if you have it docked without the HDMI, it will still think you’re connect to an actual dock and the Switch screen will go dark. It’s unfortunate because THIS was the main reason I got it. Don’t believe the people that write on here that it works in tabletop mode because it doesn’t. TLDR: It basically works exactly the OEM dock, just cheaper in price. No tabletop mode compatible.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No it does not.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, the power supply makes it think it is in TV mode.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will not (that is one feature the Nyko supports). The power supply will work to charge you Switch so if you use a stand like the Hori one then at least you can use this charger when in portable mode.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is not true, your switch will automatically try to switch to docked mode.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it does allow you as long as you remove the HDMI
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. So this works just like the OEM dock but I think better because of its portability. Once you remove the HDMI connection, even though still connected to dock, will make the screen go dark but still charge the unit. My suggestion is if you want to play in table top mode on the go, get a portable monitor that supports micro hdmi to hdmi and of course USB-C or just get a stand. Hope this helps.
