• It does have one USB port which you could connect one wired controller to as opposed to the originals three USB ports. The gamecube adapter does function but you will not have rumble functionality.

• There is a usb plug on the back side of the dock. Does it allow you to use a controller for your game, I don’t know. I only have wireless controllers. But The dock is worth it for portability (taking on trips) and having as second dock.
