The camera stays mounted easier with small drilled in screws that we caulked to seal from rain.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I live in south florida, have had this dash cam up for months and it has never fallen off or come loose. It comes with a protector sticker on the suction part out the box, there is some very light sticky adhesive to help it create its initial suction. as long as you dont get any dirt on the suction or mess up the stick it will be fine. make sure you are certain about where you want it, try not to constantly remove the suction. the dash cam can be taken off of the suction so you can move it around without touching the suction on the glass. so to answer your question, it will be fine on the glass. im not sure what you meant by the "roof" but the glass is where it is best to be put.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I meant inside of the vehicle not on the outside; my mistake. But, I'm still concerned about how long it will last on the windshield in the intense Florida sun. I saw on one of the answers someone used double side tape inwhich to mount the camera. Is this something you recommend doing or do you have another process to keep the camera mounted to the windshield or where is it mounted?? Sorry for the confusion.
