This camera turns off when the car is turned off. If left plugged into the power source and the user set the GPS and Motion detection settings, the device will record if your car is hit, or if someone walks within view of the camera.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on your vehicle, ours does not kill the power to the cigarette lighters when the vehicle is turned off, all receptacles remain powered. So contrary to what others are saying, it all depends on your specific vehicle.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If it does not, just buy a powerbank. That will help. Connect to the power bank once vehicle is off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you have run the power to a receptacle that is hooked into switched power that is true it will cycle on when the car ignition is turned on and will turn off in the same fashion. Otherwise if it uses constant 12v power it will run constantly unless you manually turn it off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Pepe. The camera goes connected to the car's "lighter", it receives electrical current when the switch is turned ON. While the car is OFF the lighter does not receive electricity. Charles V. - Insignia Support https://www.insigniaproducts.com/contact-us
