you have to buy the sd card you can buy up to 64gb. i bought a 16gb

It records as long as the car is turned on. When the memory card gets full, it will delete the oldest recorded video, although this setting is adjustable. When the g sensor gets triggered, it lock in that specific 5 minute video clip in a different folder so it will not get deleted. If you have a computer, it is very easy to slide in the SD card and review or delete footage. Depends on how big the storage is. With a 64 gig sd card that will store about 48 hours of video. The camera instructions specify a 32 gig card but 64 gig runs fine. The 32 gig card would store about 24 hrs of video.
