I don’t think it can hold on any dash. I tried I on my today and it won’t hold down. Granted The images would be upside down but my dash won’t grip the suction cup.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't believe that it can be used with the top (mount side) down. There might be a way of attaching it that way, but the video would be inverted, and I didn't see any way to invert the video in the settings. An alternative might be to mount it as low as possible on the windshield so that if it did come loose it would be very close to the dashboard. You might put some padding below it to protect it as well. Some states/jurisdictions may have restrictions on where such a device may be mounted. I have mine secured to the mirror with a large, loose-fitting rubber band to catch it if it comes loose. The alternative would be to build your own mount of some sort which keeps it in the designed orientation. I suspect that the suction mount would not work well on most dashboards because of curvature and/or finish. There are devices designed for GPS units available to set on the dash and which have a flat, smooth surface for the suction mount.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can if you have a smooth disk for suction cup to adhere to ! But the suction cup that comes with the dashcam it is a great mount it won't come off unless you want it to!
