Will it over heat in car null

I don’t get that impression at all, no. The device seems pretty solid. I likely won’t park exposing it to direct sunlight for hours and hours, but it also can be mounted and dismounted quickly when needed to avoid overheating, theft, etc.

As any electronic equipment exposed to excessive heat in the car, it will most likely get damaged. I suggest remove the camera from the windshield when parked in the sun. It can be easily removed and tucked in the glove compartment.
