“when it says it fits MOST tv's up to 55"....how will i know before I get it? I am getting a 55" flat screen.”

You need to determine how far apart the feet are spaced. If it has a center stand then it will definitely fit but, if it has two feet then the width of those feet is the limiting factor. 47-38" X 15-7/8" are the dimensions of the top surface.

Once my 55 in TV arrived, it fit perfectly....meaning TV shows half an inch bigger on each side between TV and cabinet(it is not flushed). Either way, I am happy with this since the cabinet is very sturdy. Also, love I can put my 4 consoles there (DVD/CABLE BOX/ROUTER/MODEM) without any issues or concerns.
