• Hi, So the adapter you are talking about just adapts the plug to an American power outlet. It does however not change the voltage of the power outlet. You need lookup whether the air conditioner works on 110 Volt 60Hz. Usually you find a label that tells you the voltage (range) on the rear of the AC: If the voltage range includes 110 Volt, the adapter is sufficient. If the voltage range does not include 110 Volt and just shows 220 Volt you need a power converter with sufficient Watts (as much as the AC) to make the AC work the plug will not be sufficient. hope that helps H

• No, it is for UK plug to USA. It fits into a USA 120 Volt outlet. There is no built in transformer.
