QuestionI have a 7 year old tv with no arc hdmi (just 2 hdmi inputs). Will this work to create an hdmi arc output to transmit sound from my tv to a soundbar? If not, is there a way to do this?

- Answer Yes as long as you connect the optical out or 3.5mm jack out to an audio amp or headset or desktop speakers, etc... It will pass video thru Projector and audio will be waiting on the audio outs of the Extractor for you to plug into something.

QuestionI have a Premium Audio Pico Projector(Insignia) the volume is awful for outdoor movies even when connected to 2 Harman/Kardon speakers via bluetooth. Sound from my phone is much louder. Can I use this product to amplify sound out of the projector?

- Answer This product only extracts sound, not sure what your using to Bluetooth your signal to your speakers, but the MME Bluetooth transmitter/receiver has a volume boost built in.

QuestionNetflix 5.1 audio requires equipment that can process Dolby Digital Plus. I have Optical only audio gear that do not have the HDMI required for DD+ - will this device extract the DD5.1 from a DD+ stream?

- Answer No it will not. It does not have the hardware/firmware to do so. It will extract a DD 2.0 stream.

- Answer Yes you can get sound out of it I have mine connected to my projector that has internal speaker. But I used the insignia hdmi to get got for my surround sound system. Has hdmi in and out and fiber optic output for sound

Questionwith optical will my Nintendo switch come in dd5.1, it seems it only comes in dd 2.0 same issue I had with Netflix, but that's cause Netflix is dd+ and won't do dd 5.1 with optical. maybe there is something i'm not seeting up right with my Nintendo switc!

- Answer Hi BenjiMTL, 1 Connect a high-speed HDMI cable (not included) from your HD source device (or HDMI switcher) to the audio extractor’s HDMI IN port. 2 Connect a high-speed HDMI cable (not included) from your TV to the audio extractor’s HDMI OUT port. 3 Connect an optical cable or 3.5 mm audio cable (not included). Note: To connect to playback devices with RCA jacks, use the included 3.5 mm-to-RCA adapter cable. 4 Slide the audio mode switch to the audio output format you want. 5 Connect the DC 5V/1A power adapter to the DC 5V jack.
