• No, this just extends an existing HDMI Cable. It has a male connection on one end and a female connection on the other. If your device has a HDMI PORT you would need a HDMI Cable. These normally come with a male connection on both ends.

• You would need whatever sort of adapter that allows your android device to output to an HDMI cable, and a standard male to male HDMI cable of some sort. This cable is basically meant to let you extend a cable 3 feet. However, having that connection, mid-cable, is also equivalent to moving the HDMI input of your display 3 feet away from the display.
