“We have a TV with a Spectrum box with DVR attached but I also want to hook up a DVD player- see pics. I’m not sure how to do so. Can I use this or some type of splitter? Would probably need a longer cord because the TV is mounted fairly high. Thanks”

You could use a HDMI switched and then run one long HDMI cable to your tv.

Please try again later.If you are trying to also use a DVD player in the same TV, you would need an additional HDMI port on the TV , some TVs come with 1,2,3 HDMI ports, this product you are inquiring about only extends the range of the HDMI port (example) If your TV is mounted HIGH on the wall & your spectrum box is on the floor this extends the HDMI CORD to reach, think about it like an electric extension cord, from the looks of it your DVD player will connect to an HDMI port on the TV. The colored L R inputs are for surround sound system, I THINK!
