“If i purchase this unit, and plug into the HDMI ARC. and hook up cables to and old analog stereo, will I be able to control the volume with the TV, or am i still going to have to use 2 separate remotes? its works through ear phone jack, audio not so good.”

The answer provided by Insignia is incorrect. In another question, they state that it does not support Arc. Unfortunately, I purchased this based on their answer for this question and not the one that states it doesn't work. It doesn't.
