For widescreen images, does this squash the image horizontally or give black bars at the top/bottom of the screen? If it squashes the image, does it squash 4:3 images and get black bars on the left/right and does it have a zoom function to unsquash them? null

My experience has been that it squeezes 16:9 into 4:3 (Making everyone tall and skinny on an old 4:3 TV).  A modern 16:9 TV has a feature that stretches the image back into 16:9.

I do not have a big screen, but I it is 42 and it doesn't squash the screen and no bars. Sorry I did not see a zoom feature.
