“Purchased the HDMI to VGA Adapter to use on the Lenovo Laptop for church monitor. Upon attaching adapter and the vga into the laptop we could hear where it connected but to no avail / display on the laptop nor monitor. Could you please advise? Thank you.”

There is a screen key located at the top of the keyboard.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Try hitting the F8 Key on your keyboard (you might have to hit the FN and F8 key together). Choose your preferred viewing options when they appear. I normally use this when connecting to a projector but it might resolve your issue. You can also try going into your monitor settings, and choose the monitor you want to use. I hope this helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You will need to "tell" the laptop to use the VGA output. The quick key is usually one of the "F" keys. On my laptop it happens to be F4 but it varies by brand
