Only if that VGA Port on your 'older model TV' is capable of interpreting a Firestick signal/transmission. Also note (most?) VGA ports on the back of TV's are FEMALE. The VGA connection on this adapter is FEMALE...so make sure you get a MALE VGA adapter that plugs into your TV with female HDMI adapter , on the other end, that will receive your Firestick... Buy it and try it. BestBuy has a great policy on returning undamaged goods.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The fire stick would have to have both an HDMI port and USB port and the TV would have to have a VGA port and you would need a VGA cable to connect to. Does a firestick have both an HDMI and USB ports?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. VGA doesn't support audio.
