• Yes, but only video (as you cant push HDMI Video& Audio into a VGA port). Many projectors have an HDMI port on them (unless its really old)

• This adapter connects and HDMI source device to a VGA display. If the Apple TV has HDMI and the project is VGA, then yes this will work for connecting those.
