• No, this will not work with the microphone of a headset since the picture shows it to be a 3 post contact (metallic part sticking out of the cable) only. The 3 posts are for ground and 2 audio outs for stereophonic sound. For a cable to work with a headset + microphone combination, you need a 4 post (TRRS) contact; THE 4 posts are for ground, audio out 1, audio out 2 and microphone in.
