Sadly, this ice maker did not work with my refrigerator. The cord connector on the ice maker is not compatible with the receptacle in the refrigerator. Although the model numbers say it is a match; it is not.

Parts are model specific to each unit and we do not cross reference parts from another maker. I have never heard of a INSIGNIA Ice Maker that could be used in General Electric Fridge you mentioned.
