- Answer Sadly, this ice maker did not work with my refrigerator. The cord connector on the ice maker is not compatible with the receptacle in the refrigerator. Although the model numbers say it is a match; it is not.

- Answer I have a water softener for my home and that is the same water that goes to my ice maker. The ice maker it's self does not filter the water. So basically they are tap water ice cubes. I hope this helps.

- Answer Cause it's a lousy unit. I had best buy to my house 5 times before they got it right and when the guy left he assured me nothing was leaking. Next morning I mopped up water for an hour and it wrecked 4 ceiling tiles . I'll never buy anything here again.

QuestionI have the Insignia Model NS-RTM18SS7 fridge and purchased the Insignia ice maker NS-IMK20WH7 and the wire terminal that connects to the top of the inside of the freezer does not fit. Am I missing something, do I need to remove a cap from the freezer?

- Answer Use needle nose pliers or a flat blade screwdriver to remove the terminal cover located at the top of the freezer by first pulling down one side of the cover, then pulling down the other side.
