A:AnswerSadly, this ice maker did not work with my refrigerator. The cord connector on the ice maker is not compatible with the receptacle in the refrigerator. Although the model numbers say it is a match; it is not.
A:AnswerI have a water softener for my home and that is the same water that goes to my ice maker. The ice maker it's self does not filter the water. So basically they are tap water ice cubes. I hope this helps.

A:AnswerThis is a perfectly good ice maker not sure if it is the exact one you need or not. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help but if you have any other questions I will be glad to answer them.
A:AnswerCause it's a lousy unit. I had best buy to my house 5 times before they got it right and when the guy left he assured me nothing was leaking. Next morning I mopped up water for an hour and it wrecked 4 ceiling tiles . I'll never buy anything here again.
A:AnswerUse needle nose pliers or a flat blade screwdriver to remove the terminal cover
located at the top of the freezer by first pulling down one side of the cover, then
pulling down the other side.
A:AnswerOK...if this ice-maker ISN'T the right one for the RTM18BK8Q, PLEASE inform us which Ice-Maker that Best Buy sells IS the correct on for the specified refrigerator.
