• It'll work fine with no cable, as long as your TV has an antenna connection. As for where it's placed, it does make a difference. Try to have a decent shot at a window or skylight. How well it will work depends on how good the tuner is in your TV, and how far you are from the station's tower.

• You have to move it around to find the best reception. Every channel might be different also. Without this I wouldn’t receive anything. Look up YouTube for over air tv antennae’s. Wealth of knowledge
