Yes, I purchased this for a room in my home with no cable hookup and it works great, my tv scanned over 90 channels.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can use the Insignia Indoor HDTV antenna connected to your TV without having cable or internet hookup. It is best if the antenna is placed in or near a window. You just have to experiment on antenna location and configuration of the VHF dipoles. The number of channels you receive through it will depend on where you are located with respect to the broadcasting stations, your distance from those stations, what kinds of tall buildings or walls may be blocking signals to your antenna, and atmospheric conditions and such. If you are in a large urban area you may receive many more stations than in a rural area. Still, in a rural area I can receive 10 stations really well on average with this antenna.
